I had used an air based penis pump for a couple of months but it was simple not powerful enough. I picked up the Bathmate after reading through a ton of reviews and it has served me well the last 3 years!
How does Bathmate work?
Bathmate and all other penis pumps works by creating a vacuum in a chamber where your penis is, the vacuum forces more blood into your penis thus increasing its size and creating a strong erection. The increased size is temporary in the beginning and will only last around 1-2 hours – the time it stays larger will increase with the number of times you use the pump.
In the end you will gain a permanently larger penis and the ability to get strong and long lasting erections.
The vacuum is created by pumping water or air out of the tube with a hand pump or an electric pump.
This is what happens when you use a penis pump
There are 3 chambers that hold blood during an erection, they are called Corpora cavenosa (you got 2 of those) and Corpus spongiosum. See picture below
The chambers expand more during a penis pump session than during an erection – this creates micro-tears in the tissue that leads to the growth of new cells and a larger and stronger penis.
Steps on How to use Bathmate Penis Pump:
Use it in your bathtub, shower or at a sink.
- Put a finger on the top vent to prevent water from running out
- Put the device under water or under a running tap until it’s filled. Use water that are a bit hotter than your body temperature, this will make it more comfortable and more effective.
- Gently push the device up around your penis and pump a few times, until it sits firmly against the base of your penis. Pump out water a few times with 5-10 seconds intervals and wait for your penis to adjust to the vacuum. You should be able to feel the vacuum but it should never be uncomfortable.
- The pump will lose a bit of vacuum – just pump one time every 5 min. to regain a strong vacuum.
- If you pump too much (You will know the feeling – trust me!) just push the vent to one side and release some pressure.
- After 15-20 minutes, release the pressure and remove the penis pump. For first time users, you’ll be surprised with the results!
Tips: It can sometimes be difficult to get a good seal between the pump and your skin, try the following to get a better seal:
- Shave off the hair around your penis.
- Apply water to your skin and the bottom of the pump.
- Put some Vaseline on the bottom of the pump.

- Tube size: The tube size is not that big and you will outgrow the size faster than you think.

I use water that’s around 40 degree Celsius (104 Fahrenheit). Most heated tap water can get hotter than that – Do you have a thermometer to measure the temperature?

yea i used the bathmate for 15 minuts split in half , 7 minuts then another 7 minuts , by the way my penis is a blood penis im not sure if thats a factor , in flacid state its pretty small (3.5 inches long – 5 inches long when erect , 4.5 in girth erect)

I have no comment , but a question. I am 60 years old high bp and sleep apenea. Suffer from ed and not being able to keep an erection. I have tried some male enhancement pills. Sizegenix, Extenze. I would go for Male Extra pills (https://staustinreview.com/maleextra) if you want to take some kind of supplement and take it in a combination with the use of a pump. The pills you mention are “okay” but they work way better when you combine them with some kind of physical training (penis exercises, penis pump or penis extender (for enlargement)).
But you should talk to your doctor about your sleep apnea and taking supplements.

Your goal is achievable but I don’t think your timeframe is, I would guess it will take your around 6 months. But I could be wrong some men are very receptive to penis exercises and penis pump exercises and gain a lot more than other men.
I would personally do the following:
– Start with a warm up penis exercise for 5 min. – soak a towel in hot water and wrap it around your penis.
– A 10 min. Jelqing session (you can find some great information about Jelqing and other penis exercises here https://www.pegym.com/articles/introduction-to-penis-exercises)
– A 15-20 min. penis pump session – Remember to take a day off during the week, it’s important to let your body recover.
– “Bonus” add in a Jelq session before bedtime, only do this if you have done the other steps at least 4 hours earlier.

I have been using X20 for the last 8 months ( My erect length is 4.3 inches and erect girth 4.1). There was a gap of 2 months when I did not use since I was travelling. Though there is no change in length. I see a slight increase in girth.
