Peter Milward, SJ was born in London in 1925, entered the Society of Jesus in 1943, and was ordained a priest in 1960. A specialist in Shakespearean studies, he is director of the Renaissance Center at Sophia University, Tokyo. He is the author of hundreds of books and articles in the field of English literature including The Catholicism of Shakespeare’s Plays, Shakespeare’s Apocalypse, The Simplicity of the West, all published by the Saint Austin Press.
